Ynyr (Tornians #3)
Abby’s life had not been an easy one, especially after the death of her family when she had been sixteen but she had thought things were finally looking up. She was a year away from achieving her dream of becoming a teacher and soon she would be making a difference in the lives of children others had given up on. That all changed when she worked a double shift at the library to help a friend.
Ynyr and Abby come together in the most unusual of ways but that is just the beginning of the uniqueness of their relationship. Together they must do something no other Lord and Lady have ever done, make their House the shining example the Emperor demanded it be, out of one that has been destroyed by deceit and evil.
Will the secrets left behind by Bertos and Risa tear them apart? Or will it be Abby’s own secrets and Ynyr’s reaction to them that do?
I knocked off a star for the fact that this is the third book and at least the 7th time the main female character was either raped or almost raped.(I might have forgotten a couple of them.) That's a little too much rape for comfort. I kind of liked these alien-dudes - they are Skittle-colored for goodness sakes! - but these guys are a bit rapey for me. Any time they get angry about anything a female does they feel like rape is the answer. You borrowed my stapler without asking? That's a raping.
3.5 stars.Ynyr and Abby's love story is wonderful.I didn't understand why they get a book to be honest, I thought they already got their HEA in Grim? But since I love the previous books so much, I want to read Ynyr and Abby's story too.Well, this book while still an interesting read, the similarity with the previous books is too much for me.You know, those domestic problems, changing furniture, difficult staff who doesn't like changing etc, make it a bit boring:(Btw, how old these two is? Sigh.

**Spoilers**A fellow reviewer wrote:"This book was better than Wray, but still not as great as Grim." I agree...I liked Abby in the beginning but she quickly annoyed me.She was either crying one minute over a misunderstanding or she was snapping at someone. She kept stating that she and Ynyr needed to communicate since they were from different worlds but she constantly made snap judgements and decisions. There was one scene where her personality did a 180 change, it was similar to the movie the
Ynyr has unexpectedly been thrust in to a position of power, with his beloved new female, Abby at his side. But becoming a new Lord on a dangerous planet and seeing to the perplexing needs of an Earth female is full of different pitfalls he never saw coming. I have fallen in love with this series, in general I love any kind of sci-fi series especially when it involves disgustingly gorgeous aliens and a little bit of abduction, which is exactly what M.K. Eidem has given us. I am not sure what

Description Toward Books Ynyr (Tornians #3)
Ynyr was a third male and while he was a fit and worthy Warrior, he had always known that no female would ever Join with him. His mother’s refusal to leave his manno had most looking down on his family. He knew Ull would be able to overcome this because he was a first male and would one day be a Lord. Maybe even Vali, since he was a second male but neither Ynyr nor his younger brother Zev would ever be acceptable to a female. The most they could hope for was to serve their House with honor. That all changed with the arrival of the females from Earth.Abby’s life had not been an easy one, especially after the death of her family when she had been sixteen but she had thought things were finally looking up. She was a year away from achieving her dream of becoming a teacher and soon she would be making a difference in the lives of children others had given up on. First of all, I loved all the other books in this series so far. They would all get strong ratings from me any time and I've actually re-read Grim a few times (and that hardly ever happens with an erotic novel). So this explains why I had such high hopes for Ynyr, but I couldn't even get past 150 pages. The story was so inane, slow and stupid that I run out of words to describe it. WHY did the author annihilate the world I so love?1. The goody two shoes aspect. The fact that the characters inI knocked off a star for the fact that this is the third book and at least the 7th time the main female character was either raped or almost raped.(I might have forgotten a couple of them.)
