Commentary To Books Soul's Gate (Well Spring #1)

“Every now and then we get a break from reality. A glimpse into the other world that is more real than the reality we live in 99 percent of our days. The Bible is about a world of demons and angels and great evil and even greater glory.”

What if you could travel inside another person’s soul? To battle for them. To be part of Jesus healing their deepest wounds. To help set them free to step boldly into their divinely designed future.

Thirty years ago that’s exactly what Reece Roth did. Until tragedy shattered his life and ripped away his future.

Now God has drawn Reece out of the shadows to fulfill a prophecy spoken over him three decades ago. A prophecy about four warriors with the potential to change the world . . . if Reece will face his deepest regret and teach them what he has learned.

They gather at a secluded and mysterious ranch deep in the mountains of Colorado, where they will learn to see the spiritual world around them with stunning clarity—and how to step into the supernatural.

Their training is only the beginning. The four have a destiny to pursue a freedom even Reece doesn’t fully fathom. But they have an enemy hell-bent on destroying them and he’ll stop at nothing to keep them from their quest for true freedom and the coming battle of souls.

“Readers with high blood pressure or heart conditions be warned: this is a seriously heart-thumping and satisfying read that goes to the edge, jumps off, and 'builds wings on the way down.'” —Publishers Weekly

Write Up Containing Books Soul's Gate (Well Spring #1)
I received an advance readers copy of this book through Netgalley. At first I was excited about to start this book because thoughts of Frank Peretti's early books came to mind when I looked at the premise. But, about halfway through this book, I realized that while the concepts were similar the story seemed a lot more personal. The author's note at the end of the book claims that while there is certainly an element of spiritual warfare in book, the story is more about Freedom. I couldn't agree

Absolutely stunning. I could not stop reading, and intermittently found myself chuckling and weeping...a virtual feast of God's love and grace, laced with the seriousness of the battle we find ourselves in once we commit to breaking free and helping others do the same. POWERFUL!

NOTE: I received the book from Netgalley. One word: POWERFUL!!!Technically, Soul's Gate isn't considered a YA book. However, there's absolutely nothing adult in it, except the characters, so it's perfectly safe (and I even recommend it) for teens to read. It was a very very powerful book, that shattered me from the inside out and built me back again. It was INCREDIBLE!In fact, let me share something with you - there were moments when my skin was crawling with goosebumps while I read. The power of

WOW! What a ride this book was! I cannot stop talking about it! Soul's Gate centers around four individuals who are called together for a greater purpose. Reese Roth teaches the other three to embrace the true power of the Holy Spirit. They open their eyes to the realities of the spiritual realm in many way, and they begin to use His power to intercede for each other, replace lies, tear down strongholds, fight the enemy, and find freedom. The imagery of bondage and freedom in this book led me to

I really enjoyed this story as it blended references to Scripture while presenting a form of spiritual warfare that enters into the fantastical realm. Even in the authors notes at the end, he discusses that the idea of going into another persons soul to battle is a pure act of fiction. There were several things that struck me in this book that can cause the reader to pause and consider. Primary for consideration is what lies we hold onto and let take root in our spirit which then inhibit our

I don't know why I keep reading Jim Rubart's books--every time, he seems to "read my mail." Seriously--Soul's Gate is a phenomenal book, and I think it might just be one of my favorites by Rubart (ROOMS changed my life and will always hold a top spot on my Faves list). The characters are engaging and the story itself just sort of blows the mind. Most importantly, I found the premise very challenging personally. How often do we let those lies we hear in our head control and drive our actions? How

Great book! Fictional, but with alot of insight into emotional struggles we all face and how the victory over them can only be won through spiritual warfare and taking our thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ. He can set us free from anything that binds us, and we can help others by lifting them in prayer. I really enjoyed reading this one!
