The Programmed Man tells the story of Daniel York, a Empire Intelligence agent who is rushed aboard an Imperial Navy destroyer in response to an emergency after an Imperial starcruiser unexpectedly goes missing while on patrol. The outcast mutants of the hellish Zuman worlds and the arrogant upstart Prince Li-Hu are suspects, but neither York nor his gruff companion, Captain Daniel Hull of the Empire destroyer Draco, truly know what to expect when they go in search of the missing cruiser.

Jean and Jeff Sutton co-wrote about 6 books between them.I read 4 of their books when I was about 10 years old.I think these are some of the best written books I have read in my life.I can't believe that their books are so relatively unknown.The books are very compellingly written and at least several of them have some incredible twists at the end.To this day I enjoy reading them and I think they are some of the best books I have read in my life.Etwas undurchschaubar zu beginn und gespickt mit Druckfehler (der kontinuierliche Wechsel zwischen "Bevbow" und "Benbow" nervt).Die Prämisse der Geschichte hält keiner näheren Betrachtung stand, aber die Ausführung des Who-dunnit ist ganz launig zu Lesen.
