In this moving sequel to Even Now, Emily Anderson, now twenty, meets the man who changes everything for her: Army reservist Justin Baker. Their tender relationship, founded on a mutual faith in God and nurtured by their trust and love for each other, proves to be a shining inspiration to everyone they know, especially Emily's reunited birth parents. But Lauren and Shane still struggle to move past their opposing beliefs about war, politics, and faith. When tragedy strikes, can they set aside their opposing views so that love-God's love-might win, no matter how great the odds?

Crit Out Of Books Even Now / Ever After (Lost Love #1-2)
Bit predictable but a sweet story

Shane Galanater is a man ready to put down roots after years of searching. But is he making the right choice? Or is there a woman somewhere who even now remembers as does he does those long-ago days and a love that hasn't faded with time. Lauren Gibbs a successful international war correspondent who gave up on happily ever after years ago, when it was ripped away from her. Since then, she's never looked back. So why can't she put to rest the one question that haunts her. Why is life so empty?

Wonderful read! A great Christian writer, would highly sugest to anyone.

One of the best books I've read in a long time. Wiped tears several times.....but put a new desire to make my life matter for the service of God.

I loved this book! It's so hard to find a book that I enjoy reading, but this is one that I really enjoyed. This book will bring both tears of joy and of sadness. I would recommend this book to anyone!

Even Now is a great read. I've given it four stars. The storyline is intreging, and although I found the ending a little unusual (the circumstances surrounding Lauren's rapid departure), the author managed to make it mostly believeable. Ever After, however, I've only given two stars. I struggled with many aspects of the story, including Emily's inability to find especially her father, but both her parents. I also struggled with the ongoing issue of the war and America's involvement in Iraq and

Rating this double novel book was tricky because I'd give the first one four stars but the second three. Even Now was a good story of two young people in love who are kept apart for many years. As usual Karen Kingsbury raises real life and deep issues and issues and handles the Christian perspective sensitively but clearly; a great challenge re the power of prayer. The story has lots of twists and turns and creates great anticipation and involvement with the characters. I did find the time gap
