I can't decide if I liked the book or not. The narrator wasn't half bad but the book was a bit much on the over description and game stuff

I don't know why I keep reading the books in this series. The writing is execrable, the plotting moth-eaten, the preoccupation with teen-age sex deplorable. I did enjoy Blue Adept when I first read it years ago, so maybe it's nostalgia. But there is something that still grabs me...."The Game", an elaborate anything-goes tourney, is still fun. And who can resist shape-changing unicorns, trolls, emotional robots and dastardly adepts, oh my. Not a bad read for a hot summer's day with a cool ice tea
