Good Story, but too much Sexual Innuendo! This was a really good story, and, but for all the sexual innuendo I would have given it 5 stars. It's nicely written with an engaging plot and likeable, well developed characters. The story is set in the early 1600's when Scotland and England were both under the rule of King James; this is the beginning of civilization within the Highlands, unfortunately! Sigh. You know what I mean, the King was determined to bring peace among the clans and stop all thei really loved the story at the beginning of the book-the curse she put on that guy. it was a nice buildup for the story.however, i did have some problems with this story.first and foremost, i cant stand when they have a mistress in the book! it's bad enough when authors usually mention thier sexual conquests and all that crap, but to have the girl in there so our characters actually meets her is just beyond my comprehension. why would anyone want that in their romance book?!&instead of
The story was very well thought out. Lachlan Maclean, Laird of Coll, and Flora MacLeod are the hero and heroine of this story. In the beginning it tells the story of Elizabeth Campbell. A Maclean had broken her heart. So she put a curse on all the Maclean's hereafter. Flora MacLeod is a descendant of Elizabeth Campbell. Flora is a wild child with a devil may care attitude. Her only concern is maintaining her freedom. She refuses to conform to what society says is her duty. She absconds with a man

It has honestly never taken me this long to finish a romance novel before... I think I started this back in May and didn't finish it until mid July!! What is that about??? From the first chapter I could tell this book wasn't for me, but I was determined to finish it because I was so looking forward to reading it after having enjoyed the other books in the MacLeods of Sky Trilogy so much. Unfortunately, upon finishing it, I have to say this was by far my least favorite of the three. The main
I enjoyed reading this one more than I did the second in the trilogy, which was rather surprising, I was not looking forward to reading it when I picked it up. William the cowardly fool! What scum to just abandon Flora and leave her at the mercy of Lachlans clan to save his own skin, though it did turn out for the best. Flora was courageous and had plenty of fight in her, which was great; I dont care for the weak damsel in distress female characters. I liked the hot bed romps better in this book
Great read, although he had WAY too much patience with her.
