Commentary Toward Books We Were On a Break

Is it a break? Or is it a blip? 'You've just had a holiday,' I pointed out, trying not to yawn. 'Wasn't that enough of a break?' 'I don't mean that kind of break.' There's nothing worse than the last day of holiday. Oh wait, there is. When what should have been a proposal turns into a break, Liv and Adam find themselves on opposite sides of the life they had mapped out. Friends and family all think they're crazy; Liv throws herself into work - animals are so much simpler than humans - and Adam tries to get himself out of the hole he's dug. But as the short break becomes a chasm, can they find a way back to each other? Most importantly, do they want to?

Judgment About Books We Were On a Break
Not gonna lie - I was really disappointed with this one.Not only the story was far from intresting, but the author went with humour that wasn't funny at all at times, and was even unnecessary and uncomfortable (I mean, who'd ask a father of a child you're at christening party for, in the middle of an argument, if he has penis issues? That was not funny. It was stupid. It made Liv look even more stupid.)My main problem was that two different POVs sounded EXACTLY the same, and since there was no

Lindsey Kelk is a fantastic writer and has twelve books to her name, of which Ive read 90% of them and I can safely say shes always an author who can make you chuckle, and her pop culture references are on par with Lorelai Gilmores (and thats saying something). Shes stepped away from her Girl series for now (or forever? *SOBS*) and has brought us another fantastic stand-alone, which must have taken all of its inspiration from Friends, because what else can anyone possibly think, with the title

Aw man, this one took forever because the past 1.5 weeks have been crazy. I can honestly say that the book itself wasn't to blame for how long it took me. It's an easy, fast paced book. Funny, light, a bit romantic and something I normally wouldn't read but that I quite enjoyed in between all those deep, psychological books I mostly read. I wouldn't mind seeing this in movie form and I felt it was very realistic and relatable with everything that was going on between the two main characters.

'We Were On a Break' is about Liv and Adam, who are on their last day of holiday in Mexico. Adam actually wants to propose to Liv, but nothing really works out the way he wants it. From then on, things go all wrong and what should've been a day to celebrate turns into a break in their relationship...I loved this book. It might even be the best Lindsey Kelk one I read so far. The characters were really great (except Adam at times), the plot was great, even their jobs were great (Liv is a vet!).

Boy and girl from a small countryside English village date for three years, go on vacation together, boy tells his brother that he will propose on said vacation, brother's wife tells the girl, girl waits all the vacation for a proposal, boy plans it for a last day, but at the last minute decides that he will not propose, major cold feet, on the flight home they fight, and later on he tells her famous words- let's take a break...Sounds familiar, also innocent, nothing could go wrong right.....

With Lindsey Kelk, i would never EVER give her less than 5 stars because she doesnt write anything worthy of anything less than a 5 star review. I might be a bit biased as she is one of my favorite authors and ive loved her from her debut. The I heart series is my all time ever favorite books (sorry i had to get that in) Ok sorry i digress!I could not wait to get my hands on this new book and it didnt disappoint. Here we meet Liv and Adam, Liv is a vet and works for her father's veterinary
