Description During Books The Search for Wallace Whipple

Wallie is a typical teenage boy that has just reached his 16 birthday, the age to be dating, driving, and acting like a normal teenager...except Wallie doesn't know how to be normal, he doesn't know how to talk to girls, and he isn't allowed to get his license until he earns his eagle project. Written in journal format Wallie records his days events in the journal his bishop gave him at his birthday meeting. Will Wallie be able to ask the girl of his dreams on a date, will he be able to finish a track race without throwing up, and will he finally learn how to be cool? Read to find out.

I had such a good time reading this. It is a humorous novel about real life situations normal teens go through everyday, but with some comedy thrown in. Every teenager has that moment when a date just doesn't go as planned or a report card comes back worse then expected. Wallie is such a likeable character and you can't help laughing at him and rooting for him at the same time.

Evaluation Regarding Books The Search for Wallace Whipple
I picked this up because it was on sale at the library. Must be the worst book I have ever read. Don't think twice about reading this book just avoid it entirely!Silly nerd boy...blahblah...keeps a journal about his pathetic life...blahblah...and the hokey pokey is what its all about. He repeats that last line over and over!Makes NO EFFING SENSE! DX

I read this book when I was a teenager and really liked it. I found it in a library in Mexico and decided to read it again. My old bishop wrote this book and it is really funny. He has a clever style.

Wally is a LDS 16 year old Sophomore in High School who wants to make the Basketball team, get good grades and get the girl. This is the story of his Sophomore year and it is told through journal entries. its hilarious and sweet and the best read to read again and again.

A fast read. I just picked this one up today and finished it tonight. Wallace, or Wally, is a mostly typical teenage boy, insecure and awkward. His bishop challenges him to keep a journal, where he records all his secrets. He's just going into his first year of high school and has a crush on a beautiful teenage girl. He wants to be a basketball star. His little brother wants to be just like him.Pretty cute book. I liked Wally and I was rooting for him to come out on top.CMB

Really cute LDS book. it's a really funny journal of an akward teenager...an easy read.

I read this many years ago and then again last year. One of the funniest things I've ever read.
