Chronicle In Pursuance Of Books Lois Lane Tells All (Glory NC #2)
She thinks she's Lois Lane...Susan Collins always wanted to be a hard-hitting reporter, but there's not much call for her talents in sleepy Glory, North Carolina. Then the Murder Mystery Club--a trio of enterprising octogenarians--decides to open their own CSI lab at the assisted-living center. And when strange accidents begin to happen around town, Susan senses she could be on to the news story of her dreams.
He doesn't want to be her Superman...
Mark Tremayne has returned to Glory to take over as CFO of The Glory Examiner. His job is to keep the newspaper profitable, which means covering the annual Baptist Church Bake-Off and selling ads for the county fair--not allowing his too-sexy-for-her-own-good reporter to hare off after a wild story that could alienate some of the townspeople.
Together ... they're Kryptonite...
Mark's and Susan's viewpoints could be from different planets, but their mutual attraction is in total alignment. Despite their arguments, the indomitable redhead and the hot accountant are a sexual explosion waiting to happen. And when it does, Glory had better watch out.

This is cute and funny. I liked the way Susan and Mark drove each other crazy. Susan is just great. If you're looking for a feel-good romance, then you'll love this. This is the 2nd in the Talk of the Town series. Not much snark in this book, but if you're looking for a quick fun read pick up this book. I really hope that she continues the series. I don't read historical romance but if Ms Hawkins writes those as well as she writes this series, I may change my mind and begin reading that genre.
I was not as taken with this book as I have been with Koren Hawkins' other work. I did find the elderly folks starting their own crime lab pretty funny though. I'm not really sure why I didn't latch onto the characters of Mark and Susan. In short though I wasn't really into the book, it was well written and humorous, just not to my tastes...

Susan Collins has always wanted to be Lois Lane, but The Glory Examiner, the one and only newspaper in Glory, North Carolina, is a far cry from the Daily Planet. Plus, her boss, Mark Treymayne, is no Clark Kenteven if he does look the part. Marks goal is to make The Glory Examiner profitable and he doesnt like it that Susans alienating some of their readership with her newest stories. Then Glorys Murder Mystery Club a group of CSI-loving octogenarians opens a crime lab at the assisted living
I read the first book in the series Talk of the Town and was not very impressed. I decided to finish the second book and I liked it a little more. Still not one of my favorite books, but I wanted to see the series all of the way through.
Another entertaining book by this author ! Well written.
In Lois Lane Tells All, set in Glory, North Carolina, we meet Susan Collins, a smart, sassy and sexy reporter/editor of Glory's only newspaper. She's responsible for her father, is a sucker for an oversized pup and is lusting quite heavily after her boss, Mark Tremayne. He's also the accountant who's going to bring the newspaper in to the black, due to its financial problems.Mark is an accountant-he likes numbers, charts and PowerPoint presentations. He also likes Susan. A lot. She's sexy, has a
